As a mom, we think so much about others and not enough about ourselves. Our kids come first. Our family comes first. I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks this way, but we tend to cater to everyone else but ourselves.
Sometimes we all need a little self love. I went for a manicure and pedicure a few weeks ago now. It was so nice! I thoroughly enjoyed myself. And I do that a bit – go out and do something for myself. I sometimes feel guilty, do you? Why is it that we feel a bit guilty? We shouldn’t because we need that time for our self. It doesn’t always have to be manicures and pedicures. It could be shopping. It could be a trip to an ice cream place for a treat. It could be a night out with the girls! But it’s definitely needed. It’s needed to keep us sane and down to earth.
Sometimes it’s reading and a cup of tea. Sometimes it’s just a drive around town. Sometimes it’s meeting up with a friend. Or it could be a walk around a store. It is anything you want it to be . Going to a fitness class. But mama’s, you need to take that time. Just do it. You won’t regret it.
How often do you need to take a few minutes for yourself? For some, it’s not often. For others it’s quite a bit. That’s not a bad thing. You can use that time to reset. Mama’s go do something for yourself!
