Don’t You Talk to Yourself?

“Now, I need to go here. And where’s the login information? Ok. Yup. Waiting.”

“Hmm…that’s not what I wanted, how am I going to do that?”

“Let’s see if that works. Yes!”

“Oh, I need to use the restroom!”

“I’m going to make another tea!”

“Oh, do you want to go for a walk girl?”

“Oh, I think I’m hungry”

“I need to go to this store for this, and that store for that. But when do I want to go?”

I was just minding my business and working away at my computer. My office mate said, ” do you always talk out loud to yourself?” I said yes. It’s a good thing that when I worked in an office, I had my own office. No one could hear me when I was constantly talking to myself. It didn’t matter what it was, I was saying it out loud, to myself.

Now that I do some work from home, it’s different. I have many office mates around me, sometimes one, sometimes two (and that includes my furry friend, Bailey the dog), and on rare occasions, four office mates. Which means my husband and two sons. While I can close myself off in a room and work, sometimes I find it nice to be in the kitchen, dining room, or even on the couch if I want. Having the opportunity to work from any room in the house is awesome. The downside is that my main office mate can hear anything that I say to myself. Mind you, I’m not saying detailed things just some vague things that are going on. I just always do this. I’m not sure if it’s because of the Italian in my blood, or just a trait I have. I can tone it down, so if I were in an office it probably wouldn’t be as bad as now. But knowing I’m in the comfort of my own space, I’m free to be however I’d like.

Tell me I’m not the only one that talks to myself. Do you do it? It’s totally normal, right?  Good.

Please comment and let me know that I’m not the only one.

Have a fabulous day everyone!
